Paintings
I have reduced the quality of the reproduction to
improve the download time and so the photographs themselves do not always
accurately reflect the richness of colour or the proper definition of line. A

Archetypes |
Jung believed that archetypes
structured the subconscious, and were part of the spiritual and unseen
mysteries of being.
My paintings are portraits and representations of
these forms behind the individual perception of life, and I have tried to
capture the archetype as I see it and convey the mood as I feel it.

Landscapes |
Photographs of landscapes
show the view with great accuracy but seldom capture the mood or feeling of
the place. My aim is to show the structure and atmosphere behind the
landscape.
I have tried to walk in the footsteps of my ancestors and I have strived to see
the world through their eyes.

Life |
In this section I have sought to portray the universal nature of human
activity and to bring out the important events and experiences that touch
and mould all our lives.
These images have been inspired by researching family history and reaching
out to imagine and capture something of the essence of the past. |
